CORNERSTONE CONFERENCE WORLD MISSIONS MINISTRIES
Changing Eternal Destinies

The Salley Chronicle

Dear Friends,

We thank the Lord for those of you that have informed us that you are praying for our current financial needs.  And we are thankful too for the ones that have said they will send some extra support. Praise the Lord!

Please keep praying with us and please keep giving!  Our financial support account is still in a very large deficit.  Please pray with us that our account will rise quickly back into the positive.  Please pray that new supporters will emerge and begin to support us on a monthly basis.

Thank you for your continued partnership in this missions ministry to the peoples of Southeast Asia.  May God richly bless you!

Prayer for Jambi workers Aug2010

Our latest Harvest Institute of Leadership Training (HILT) sessions were held in Jambi, Indonesia. Jambi is located on Sumatra Island, one of the world's most unreached islands of the world with tens of millions of people in need of hearing and receiving the good news. At the close of these sessions we had the honor of praying for and releasing three new workers into the harvest fields of Sumatra!  Awesome stuff!!

Last night in Malaysia

We are pictured above with a Myanmar refugee family who have been living in Malaysia for the last few years. This was there last night in Malaysia before they flew to Charlotte, North Carolina, to begin their new life of freedom in the USA!  Please pray for this family as they adjust to a new culture.  We are working with some of our friends in the Carolina's to make sure this family is helped in their new life. Thank you

Kuala Lumpur SOM Graduation

July 17 was a wonderful day as we witnessed the graduation of 27 people from our School of Ministry in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  Rev. Dean Morgan joined us to give the charge to the graduates.  This was the first ever graduation for our first ever SOM that began in 2007. Please pray the Lord will use these folks mightily to share the Good News to the peoples of Malaysia!  Thank you.

We traveled to Medan, Indonesia, with Rev. Dean Morgan & Rev. Craig Ray to launch our newest School of Ministry on July 19.  This now gives us 7 Schools of Ministry throughout Southeast Asia!  There will be an initial intake of 14 students when classes begin on August 5.  We thank the Lord for another location where local leaders will be trained and equipped to reach their nation for Christ!  Please pray for these teachers and students.  Thank you.

Rachel's Play

July 4th was Youth Sunday in Singapore.  The youth took over the service this morning and Rachel had a part in one of the skits.  She received many kudos from the audience!!

Rachel exam day Aug2010
Earlier this month Rachel took her last piano exam.  She has  now reached the highest level of the course through this particular program.  We are very proud of her for spending the last 10 years in devoted lessons and exam taking.  We have received the news that she passed her last exam!  We are thrilled!

  Joy to the Lord!

Joy Bausum (pictured left) in Jakarta with Tim & Joe Arthur October 2009.

Joy Bausum arrived in Malaysia earlier this month to work with our Myanmar refugee ministry in Kuala Lumpur. We are sad to report that Joy passed away on August 18. Her brief stay with the Myanmar children had a lasting impact that they will never forget. Please keep Joy's family, living in North Carolina, in your prayers at this time.

Sara Grace & the worship team

Sara Grace continues to have numerous opportunities to be involved on the worship teams at our local fellowship here in Singapore. As we write this newsletter she is in another room in our home practicing on her guitar for this Sunday's event.

Sara Grace is involved with worship teams in Singapore.

Home fellowship in Jakarta suburb.

This summer has been a time of challenge and difficulty for believers in a suburb of Jakarta, Indonesia. Local opposition to believers meeting in homes has greatly increased. Pictured above is a typical home fellowship in this suburb.  We visited this home last summer. The leader is a graduate of our mission school in Jakarta. This group of believers have been spared thus far from any harm and destruction. Please pray that they remain safe as they choose to worship the God of all gods! Thank you.

The Salley Family (Rachel, Sara Grace, Beth & Tim)

Dear Friends,

We continue to be thankful to the Lord for the things He is doing throughout our region of Southeast Asia.  The opportunities continue to open to us to reach the unreached and to help the oppressed become free.

We do need your help urgently!  Our financial support account is now in a very large deficit.  This is the first time in 4 years we have had this situation.  Please pray with us that our account will rise quickly back into the positive.  Please pray that new supporters will emerge and begin to support us on a monthly basis.

If our current financial situation keeps declining we will most likely need to return to the USA to address this.  Our prayer has been for our family to remain in Singapore until at least May 2011.  At that point we would return to prepare Rachel for College that will begin for her in August 2011.

Thank you for your continued partnership in this missions ministry to the peoples of Southeast Asia.  May God richly bless you!

Tim and Beth celebrate 20 years of marriage. (July 14)

We celebrated 20 years of marriage on July 14!!  We spent some time with our girls in the city and had a nice dinner out.  Over half our married life has been spent on the mission fields.  We have many things to be thankful for, our health, our girls, our God.

Tim and Beth - 20 years ago.

Here we are on that wonderful day in 1990!  Little did we know that we would have had the opportunity and privilege to live on 5 continents and ministry to  the nations!  Wow!

Sara Grace Mother's Day Song

Sara Grace, joined with other youth, sang a special Mother's Day song to our local fellowship yesterday.  It was a delight!!

Malaysia Pastors Retreat

Last week we hosted a group of our Pastors from Kuala Lumpur for an annual retreat by the South China Sea in Malaysia.  This 3 night, 4 day retreat was a well deserved time of rest & relaxation for these leaders that give so much to their respective ministries on a daily basis.  It is our honor to give these folks this opportunity.  We showed a DVD series entitled, "Experiencing the Father's Embrace."

The emphasis of the teaching was how we were created to receive Father God's love and give it away to others unconditionally.  We received many positive testimonies from the group on how this series gave them a greater sense of hope in their personal lives and new strategy for ministry. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to make a positive influence in the lives of these leaders!

The Hong Bao Club Rachel joins in on the fun!
