Planning Ahead Is the KeyGiving to the Global Outreach Offering is like giving a gift that will reach around the world. The first step is deciding that you will participate by giving a day's wage and praying. Prayer is essential to effective global outreach. Each local church is asked to set aside a specific day to pray for global outreach projects and the evangelization of our world. We want to make it as easy as possible to help you give your day's wage in this annual offering. You may want to use our newest tool - a day's wage billfold. This specially designed billfold allows you to "tuck away" part of your day's wage over several pay periods if preferred. Many church groups use the special coin folders designed to hold $10 in quarters. The last slot can be used to hold currency or a check. Children love saving for missions this way and enjoy asking others to give. Consider raising part of your offering through yard sales, Walk - A - Thons, Rock - A - Thons, serving meals, and special emphasis services. Churches have raised hundreds of dollars for the GO Offering through innovative and creative techniques such as these. Remember, the key to a successful GO Offering is to set goals and plan ahead - as individuals and as churches.
